Browser Issues

We write these pages using Firefox 3. That is what we suggest you use to view and interact with these pages.
As of this writing, there are a number of choices for browsers on Windows operating systems as well as Linux, Apple and other platforms.
You could use Internet Explorer versions 5,6,7 and soon 8.
You could use FireFox version 2 or 3.
And you could use Opera, Safari, Netscape, AOL and a number of others that I cannot even remember.
ALL of these browsers have differing levels of support for CSS 2 and 3 as well as xHTML. This means that any bug not cleaned up in the browser can change the way these pages are rendered. We do go to some lengths to mitigate this major design consideration. We test in a multitude of browsers and we even have separate style sheets just to manage the worst of these browsers.
But keep in mind that each time a developer releases a new browser, more bugs are going to show up. These bugs can continue to be problematic at any site you view. Inversely if you get a good one now, it will render all web sites as well as possible. There is a big upside to getting a good browser.
Our advice is use Firefox or Apple Safari (even on a Windows platform). These browsers are written very well and do not contain many bugs (they all have a few). Reward these fine companies with your use of their free browsers rather than just use the standard one that comes with your operating system.
Unfortunately Microsoft Internet Explorer contains more bugs than all the other browsers put together. Version 7 is better than the rest so if you choose to use Internet Explorer, upgrade to version 7 until version 8 is totally done.
This is just our collective humble opinion.
