Your Fans Are One Song Away From Loving You

Write the song of a lifetime, everytime!

Good songs don't just show up, they usually take time and require thoughtful effort to create a song that reflects your talent and ability. Too many songs have been left behind because the final passage just never came together or something was missing all along and it never lived up to what was expected.

Now you have a tool to help you find just the right chord or the perfect lead statement to finish your songs and make them everything you hoped it would be when you were first inspired. No one can tell you what your songs should be, only you can determine what elements make it in, and what elements should be further developed. By becoming aware of all the choices available through visual aids, you can quickly scan and pick just the right elements to bring your song writing to life.

If you have a complete mapping of the fretboard available to you and all the chords in each key become available just by glancing down at the roadmap, you can quickly examine hundreds of choices covering every string and every fret of the guitar. You will be flooded with high quality choices for extending your sound or filling out certain passages with just the right accents.

Become the song writer you always dreamed you could be. The Uncle Tim Series for guitar features a complete visual road map to the fretboard in our simple but incredibly complete mapping system. Each key is 100% complete and the basic chordal building blocks are all available just by glancing down and looking at how they flow down and across the fretboard. Don't be limited to a few chords or the wrong choices because you are not aware of all the different options available to you. With the Uncle Tim Series for guitar you can pick from complete melody lines in Uncle Tim's Building Blocks or pick and choose from the complete matrix of chords in each key illustrated in Uncle Tim's Book of Chords. All just by looking at a few diagrams and taking advantage of helpful hints and suggestions that have been developed over a lifetime of hard work and song writing.

Imagine thinking about the movement of a song and being able to point to an area of the fretboard and immediately working with choices that cause the piece to explode with excitement. This is the basic design behind the series. It is intended as an in depth, quick guide for creative musicians that want more then the standard handful of chords most of us write with. And if you need to come up to speed on how keys work or more advanced sounds like pentatonic phrases or jazzy seventh chords that build a more sophisticated sound, you can easily turn to Uncle Tim's First Year and bone up on all the rules and nuances the hide from most guitar players. All in an easy to use visual set of books that is guaranteed to grow with you as you develop as a song writer.

Remember knowledge is power and that power can translate into the next big hit.

Tim, Six months ago I bought your book UTBB. I played rhythm guitar for years (I knew 30-40 chords). Your book has opened my mind to a whole new level of guitar playing! Basically anything above the 4th fret was a mystery to me. I love playing scales, and exploring with different paths (sounds) that scales seem to lead me to. I've played on our church worship team for years. Then, one Sunday, we were playing a familiar worship song (in the key of D), and I started to hear LEAD sounds in my head. I stopped strumming and let my fingers start playing within the D scale (A string pattern). The lead form I was playing blended so nicely with the song I could hear the sound that I wanted to make and my fingers knew where to go! The other band members all turned around and looked at me and said "Wow....that sounds so cool!" I can't tell you how proud I was. Playing scales, indeed, does pay off. Playing guitar (acoustic and electric) has taken on a whole new meaning for me. I practice everyday and I always walk away having enjoyed the time I invested. You have changed my life...Thank you so much!. J C, Thornton, Colorado

J C learned the value of understanding what scales work with what keys. In fact one day he put this knowledge together in a session and was able to apply it right on the spot.

If J. C. can do this in a performance, think what you can do when you are working songs out in the comfort of your favorite writing spot.

Trying to understand how chords are carved from the key or how to select a set of chords to build a song around? Just see what S.W. was able to piece together from working with Uncle Tim's First Year for just two days!

Tim, This is a letter of pure amazement. I will turn 49 in a couple of weeks, so last week, my wife surprised me with an early birthday present. She gave me a very nice used Fernandes Retrorocket. I knew about 4 chords and could give a decent rendition of It Don't Come Easy and Something. That was the limit of my ability. I ordered your 1st year book last week, and it came to me on Thursday. I read the 1st chapter on Thursday and started practicing my scales on Friday. After playing scales all day Saturday, it finally dawned on me, it is all alphabetical (I know that is no great breakthrough, but I saw the relationship). As I was practicing more scales, I started to hear Little Girl by the Beatles, then lo and behold I saw the relationship between the notes on the scale and the chords. I suddenly knew how to play the chords to Little Girl. Tim, I realize this is all very basic for you, but man, it is a breakthrough for me. I have wanted to play the guitar since I was 15, but I never tried it because I thought it would be too difficult. Now, thanks to you, I now know more than I ever did, and this is only after 2 days. Your method is amazing, and I can not wait to see what happens in the next days and weeks and months. You have gotten me excited about learning the guitar, and my fingers do not even hurt anymore. Thank you, thank you, thank you. S. W.

Now think what an experienced player can get by leveraging everything they already know? It is no wonder people have been igniting their creative song writing for years with this system.

Don't just add a few chords to your song writing, change your life!

These books spell out the inner workings of music in a way that any musician can take advantage of. And in case you are worried about spending endless hours trying to get to the heart of the program, remember these books are designed visually so you do not have read endless passages or dig deep for weeks before it hits something of value.

All you have to do is become aware of the mapping system and try playing some of the elements that are present in every key. String together a set of chords and build the foundation of the song. Then look for secondary ways of playing the same progression with nuances only available if you know all the choices that are plainly available. Easily available but hidden from view until now. Maybe forever, if you never become aware of where they live or how to access them. Imagine never finding the right chords to make your song reflect what you intended just because you missed out on all the choices available.

The chords are all there, the lead lines are all there, all we are missing is you!

Remember every chord can be spelled at least three different ways (inversions), and each chord spelling will be present once in each three string set. The guitar has four, three string sets (the lower three strings, the middle lower three strings, the upper middle set and the upper three string set).

This means that minimally there are twelve different ways of playing each chord and three different voicing's. All in different areas, all surrounded by the other members of the key. They are made to work together, the designers of the guitar had this in mind when they developed the tuning of the instrument. And all of this becomes apparent by glancing at a map and experimenting.

This is where the creative explosions occur. Most of the time there are many ways to play chords and lead lines. And you can always build on existing progressions by adding additional notes in the key that are made for extending, influencing and building on the sound you are after. None of this is obvious and all of it is right in front of your face, if only you could easily see it. None of it is obvious unless you have a unique visual mapping system you can refer to any time you need it.

James Linderman, a reviewer for the Muse's News web magazine said; "these books would be great companions to a hefty songbook or your favorite tab site so that you could apply the theories, chord voicings and soloing boxes to actual songs and subsequently bring those songs to life with awesome new skills."
