Uncle Tim's Upgrade Plan

Uncle Tim's First Year Are You One Of The Early Adopters? Back in 1995, we introduced Uncle Tim's Building Blocks and shortly thereafter Uncle Tim's Book of Chords. Thankfully, we were able to sell over 8,000 copies in short order. Well, every so often one of these early adopters calls and asks to buy a new copy because they think the revised format is worth the bother. We have always allowed these people to upgrade their old copies for new versions. Only now we are making it an official policy! The cost to upgrade each book is $5.50 plus $2.75 for shipping. ($3.50 shipping if you want priority mail, 2-3 days, Colorado residents also include 7.4% sales tax). Where else can you do this?

The reason for our offer is because both books have changed substantially since their first printing and they are intended as long term resources. We want you to get the full benefit from them. For instance, Uncle Tim's Building Blocks has had an entire pentatonic section added and has an upgraded front end. Uncle Tim's Book of Chords has been retrofitted with new illustrations for mapping triads. The information is the same but we added another octave of triads for each three string set which is much better for practicing.

Here are the rules of qualification and submittal.

1. If switching out an old copy of Uncle Tim's Building Blocks, the original copy must have only 54 pages. Any book with 96 pages already contains the upgrade.

2. For Uncle Tim's Book of Chords, the book must have a blue cover with no photograph on it. If your copy has a cover like the book on this page, you already have the upgrade.

3. If you have one of the old books, you are welcome to upgrade it. Just send it in with a note (or print this page) telling us you want to upgrade it and we will send out a new copy. The total cost is $8.25 unless you want us to ship it two to three day mail, in which case the total would be $8.70. You will need to send a check or a credit card number (and exp. date). Since this upgrade will only be shipped when we receive the old version, it must be done through snail mail. Oh, by the way, just for grins tell us where you got your original copy and any comments you have.
